Doing a fall family session in the desert is such a unique experience. We do not get your typical fall scene like most of the world, but it is certainly beautiful in it’s own way.
The Desert National Wildlife Refuge is one of my favorite locations to capture some gorgeous scenery for a fall family session in the desert. There is a perfect grassy area to capture all the sitting and snuggly poses. Then I always make my way through the various desert spots to get some amazing variation throughout the session.
I almost always try to end every session with an amazing scenic shot. One that is definitely meant for a large print on a wall.
I have been so blessed to have so many amazing families this past year follow my style guidance. This families wardrobe was the perfect pattern and color combination for their session. It complimented the earthy tones of the desert and looked beautiful against the golden backlight throughout the day.
Their little man was the cutest baby ever! He was full of huge smiles and definitely stole the show. We opted to do a mini family session which is perfect for a family of 3 with a small one. Usually after 30 minutes, little ones are about done with me. This is also just enough time to capture all the different connections and love.
